Glove House, Inc. contracts with approximately 24 counties in NYS and while we serve youth and families across New York State, we primarily operate within ten of those counties in the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes regions. Glove House provides an array of services including prevention and intervention services, residential services and reunification and aftercare services. Our prevention and intervention services often occur within the school setting or in the home setting and include counseling, work study, educational support and parenting supports. Our residential services include a boys and a girls group home, a community residence and a non-secure detention facility. We also partner with many foster parents and relative/kinship family throughout the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes to provide foster care and therapeutic foster care to youth needing an alternative living arrangement. Further, older foster youth choosing to remain in care beyond the age of 18 are supported with our Independent Living Program.  Many of the children and their families we work with have experienced multiple crises and trauma in their lives which can result in a number of health, mental health, and ill-fitting life skills.  We work with the youth and the families to assess the strengths and needs and by providing evidence-based interventions and strategies, we all work together to improve their lives.  To help them heal and to help them regain hope for the future.
