Kinship Navigator Trainings

The NYS Kinship Navigator provides a variety of online learning resources for both caregivers and providers. The short video primers below are meant to provide succinct information on a specific topic, such as filling out the LDSS application for financial assistance, KinGAP 101, and authorizing medical care.

The NYS Kinship Navigator team is also able to provide presentations - in person and remote - at local and statewide conferences, local DSS’s, human service agencies, and other agencies that serve kinship families in need.  The goal is to promote knowledge of kinship care, education to professionals and caregivers, and to explain how access to services provided across New York State.  For more information, please call the Kinship Navigator help line at 877-454-6463 or email  navigator@nysnavigator.org.
