Update on National Kinship Care Month

Over 20 states, Congress, and the Children’s Bureau of have recognized September as National Kinship Care Month (KCM). Kinship Care Month is a Celebration of Kinship Families and a Strategy to gain support for them. The NYS Kinship Navigator began advocating for KCM in 2012.
