The mission of the Washington County Department of Social Services is to protect those in need and to help individuals and families achieve and maintain independence and self-sufficiency. Our responsibility is to maximize resources and to achieve optimal outcomes for the residents of Washington County.  Services include: Medicaid, SNAP, HEAP, Child Protective Services, Adult Protective Services, Foster Care/Adoption and Temporary Assistance.
