Franklin County Community Housing Council provides low-income housing assistance. Essex County included

Homeless Housing Programs assists individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Services can include:

• Case management Services
• Safe and Affordable long-term housing
• Referrals to local service providers for additional assistance
• Limited financial assistance may be available

Senior Housing for applicants ages 62 years of age or older who meet income guidelines.

Homeowner Protection Program (HOPP) assists individuals and families facing foreclosure on homes due to being behind on mortgage or taxes. Program is funded by NYS Office of the Attorney General. Services includes housing counseling and assistance to avoid foreclosure.
