Family Counseling Service of the Finger Lakes 572 Titus Ave Support group for foster and kinship caregivers in Monroe County. The goal of the group is threefold: To provide these caregivers with a greater understanding of trauma's impact on the brain and behavior of developing children. To provide these caregivers with trauma informed strategies to effectively and appropriately connect with and respond to the children in their care. To support these caregivers in navigating their own emotions, trauma histories, and parenting styles with children who were not born to them.
