Serves: non-parent caregivers w/ no formal legal designation, legal custody, legal guardianship, & post-adoptive families residing in Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamiliton, St. Lawerence counties & the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe

Services: Free supportive program

• Case management and home visits: Case management involves monthly contact (home or office visit) - check in w/ families & provide information/referrals
• Respite care: Provide monthly respites - children given dinner/snacks & will have activities while parents can have some time to themselves.
• Family socials: Twice a month - allow families to meet up, socialize, and participate in activities. Snacks/activities provided -sometimes have a theme such as Mother’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, etc.
• Support groups for caregivers: Monthly support groups on a Friday - parents can talk & get support/advice about parenting - Pizza & childcare are provided.
• Educational workshops: Designed to teach/educate parents & caregivers on different topics – occasionally have guest speakers – not monthly
• Youth programs
• Basic needs support
• Referral services
• Advocacy services

Caregivers must enroll into the program – which is free of charge – to receive services
