Counties Served: Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben (individuals in surrounding counties that contact will be assisted to locate the most appropriate services in their area)

Addiction affects not only the individual, but also the family. AIM’s OASAS programs help individuals and their families through the long journey of recovery and healing. These confidential and free programs are funded by the Office of Mental Health (OMH) and the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS).

Family Support Navigation

The Family Support Navigator helps families with many aspects of treatment and recovery as well as assist individuals and members with overcoming barriers to healing and flourishing in the community.

Eligibility:

• Individuals in active addiction, treatment or in recovery.
• Family members of a loved one in addiction, treatment, or recovery.
• Friends of a loved one in addiction, treatment, or recovery.
• Family and friends who have lost a loved one to addiction.

Services include:

• • Help families understand the progression and effects of addiction.
  • Provide one-on-one and family emotional support and education.
  • Connecting people with treatment programs and recovery support.
  • Linking people and family members to community services and programs.
  • Host and facilitate support groups, educational forums and help families with self-care and wellness.
