Ulster County RAPP provides a single point of entry for caregivers in Ulster County who are raising the child of a relative to identify resources to assist them. Childcare and transportation assistance are available for many programs. The program offers:

Monthly resource events where caregivers can receive assistance with filling in paperwork, meet with representatives from DSS, Mediation Services, Jewish Family Services Family Counseling Program, and family practice lawyers and learn about programs.

Programs for youth and families such as family trips, respite days for caregivers, youth enrichment programs, information about summer programs for youth and assistance with applications for scholarship aid, some financial support for summer/school break programs.

Education programs for adult caregivers, including a six week program "Parenting a Second Time Around" which provides information about child development, discipline, legal issues, family issues, and advocacy for caregivers raising a relatives child.

Referrals to other agencies for assistance based on caregiver needs.
