Grandparents Raising Grandchildren of Oswego

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren of Oswego is a support group that meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at Families with Attention Deficit Disorder (FADD) House at 98 East Bridge Street Oswego. The group is supported by a stipend from Office of Mental Health in Syracuse. Initially, the main focus of the group was to support grandparents raising grandchildren with special needs, but now has expanded to include all families. The program offers assistance with  educational advocacy, information about programs and guest speakers for the grandparents. Child care is offered on site. This group is a combined effort of Parents of Special Children (PSC) and FADD, two organizations providing assistance to families of children with special needs.

Contact: Peggy Cuyler Salem from FADD at peggy@faddhouse.com or at (315) 216-6425, or Janice Soper from PSC at jsoper_psc@alltel.net or at (315)-598-7672.
