The Relatives As Parents Program links grandparents and other relatives caring for children by providing education and training to learn new parenting and advocacy skills, mutual peer support groups, access to appropriate community based services and resources, and youth development activities. Programs include Coffee and Conversation and Café y Conversacion support groups, “Parenting the Second Time Around” education series, 4-H youth development program, special events, consumer helpline and resource center, and childcare during adult programming, case management, referral. legal information, and counseling.

Child Care Council of Orange County, Inc. is a child care resource and referral agency serving Orange County, New York. The Council recruits people interested in opening a child care program. We offer technical assistance, training, grant opportunities and other resources in developing, sustaining, and enhancing quality in a child care business. We provide free referrals to child care to parents, grandparents, and relatives seeking child care with information and free referrals to registered/licensed care. Funded by NYSOCFS.
