Works in tandem with the local Grandparents/Relative Caregiver’s Coalition and provides outreach, referral helpline, support groups, counseling, legal rights, legal advocacy, education workshops, and consultations and advocacy with DSS and paperwork.

Legal Aid Society of Mid-New York to provide people living in thirteen counties in the central New York region with improved civil legal services from a centralized intake system using voice over-IP technology. The intake unit will now easily handle emergency and brief service cases, referring in-depth service cases to the appropriate advocate or in-house staff of LASMNY.
