Provides an empowerment based model for relative caregivers 55 years of age or older in Albany, Schenectady, and Rensselaer Counties.  Services include community based support groups, telephone coaching by staff or through an adult peer mentoring program, and referral and linkage to community based services. Educational and skill building opportunities are offered periodically. This agency offers short-term, support, knowledge and empowerment designed to supplement caregivers' circle of friends and familiy, and be successful in the parenting role.

Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York to provide funding for the Children's Law Project whereby more than fifty low-income children with disabilities will receive free direct legal services and 100 parents, children or human services agencies staff will receive legal education on the rights of children with disabilities.
